For a long time I've had a story in my head that I've been constantly working on and rethinking, but its always been there. I've finally decided that I'd like to solidify some of those ideas. The Story itself contains an entire universe of characters, cities, geography, and technology. There's any number of places it could go, so I decided to start with an important location in the overall story, The Holy Citadel.
The Holy Citadel stands as an epic landmark to all the citizens of the celestial capitol city, sitting high atop the plateau at the peak of Mt. Eternia. The plateu itself, known as the Apotheosisis rather large itself, supporting the Holy Citadel, The Divine Garden, and a small village for those who work for and support those who work for the citadel. The Citadel and its garden are seperated from the village and the stairs that bring travellers to the peak of the mountain by a large wall, and although the wall is lined with many open arches, which allow for free travel, at any time every arched can be blocked off with a fortifies portcullis, sealing the citadel off from any potential attack. Most of the time though the citadel sits open, and many travellers come to visit its gardens. Most of the beauty of the building however is viewed only from they outside by most travellers. Acceptance into the great halls for those that dont belong comes only when someone is willing to make the long trek up the pathways that run the height of Mt. Eternia. Only a summons from the Elder council will allow for otherwise.
As for the layout of the scene, I think i'm looking to go for a more roman feel for the whole thing. With a lot more rounded architechure, and the including of archways, fountains and gardens, it would just be much more fitting. I may try to incorporate a little bit of gothic architecture as well, we'll see. I'm still in the middle of doing a lot of Research and Development. Anyway, here's the simply block model I have of the whole thing so far, As you can see theres not much to it, but it gives you a general feel for the whole thing.
I'll have more concept art posted up here later as I get it done
